surrealistic.enriching.weasel
There is a square in the Atlantic ocean with the address, surrealistic.enriching.weasel
Naturally, such an address demands the exploration and excavation of what a surrealistic enriching weasel actually is!
So first, I thought I’d consider the location. It turns out that there is no such thing as a sea weasel. Perhaps juxtaposing the weasel with the sea is a surrealistic response… perhaps I’ve pushed the boat out too far.
Next, I was thinking of what an enriching weasel could be. It seems quite obvious that surrealism could enrich understanding and offer a counter point to perspectives already prevalent. However, an enriching weasel is odd.
Then I stumbled across the Wikipedia page for weasels, it turns out weasels are mostly considered to be bad omens. In Greek culture, there is a story of a bride…
This bride prayed and cried to the gods for freedom from her impending marriage. The gods were angry, she was marrying a good man who did not deserve her disobedience, and not at all happy with her proposal. In response, they turned the bride into a weasel! The bride was wretched in her animal state and she wanted vengeance on the gods. Her eyes latched on the item nearest her weasel feet - her wedding dress - and she ravaged it. So, there lies the tale for all brides to be. Be wary of the weasel for it could mean the end of your wedding dress!
It’s a pretty surreal story, do you think?
